Do I need to apply new soil when laying a new lawn?

Not necessarily - it all depends on the quality of the soil you already have. As a guide, you need a minimum of 75mm (3 inches) of good quality top soil underneath your turf.

How much soil do I need to buy?

As a guide, 30 square metres to a depth of 25mm will required 1 ton of soil. If in doubt, please consult our online soil calculator.

Does the price include delivery?

Yes, the price you see is the delivered price.

Do you deliver on Saturdays?

Yes. However, a Saturday delivery entails a £25 surcharge, so many of our customers opt for a Friday delivery.

Can I request a time?

You can request an A.M. delivery in the morning for an extra £10.

Does the price include VAT?

Yes. Prices quoted are always full inclusive, so there are no nasty hidden extras.

How much notice do I need to give for delivery?

As long as your order is received before 1.00pm you can have delivery on the next day.

Do you deliver to where I live?

We deliver to every area in the UK!

Will I receive an invoice or receipt?

The confirmation e-mail acts as your invoice and receipt.

How is the soil delivered?

Delivery is kerb-side, using a tail-lift offload. Larger quantities are delivered in a tipper wagon. Unfortunately, a hiab service is not available.

Do I have to be home when the delivery is made?

It is possible to arrange delivery without a signature, but we would need some prior notice. However, there must be someone available to sign for a large tipper wagon delivery.

Are the 1 ton bags returnable?

Unfortunately, no. However, they are reusable for purposes such as collecting garden clippings, etc. We ask our customers to consider the environment when disposing of any packaging.
